    Tried it again this evening. Looks like I need to redo the drain completely. The restrictor may help but might as well do it right the second time.

    Redo the drain first. Journal bearing turbos need lots of oil.

    There is some room to open up the cheap fittings. .475” to .575”

    I’ll use this for a contingency if I can’t get the fittings I need in time for next weekend.

    Treadstone manifold finally arrived after 6 months... Was about to cancel my order. Hoping to get the rest of the pieces to make a new down pipe and have it installed this weekend. 20220928_175256.jpg


    Upgraded my intercooler pump also. The old one failed. There wasn't any info on the gpm the old one put out but judging by the size the new pump should flow quite a bit more. 20220917_120444.jpg

    Quite a few people ran those in the past. They are good and you can make really good power. Kurt over at CT forums made over 500whp on e85 with his.
    I was hoping to run one, but it shoved my turbo into my 10" coilover.

    Does this mani take up more space than other alternatives?
    I would think a custom tubular one like the one mentioned before would be better for power?

    Not really a lost of space. The turbo is further away from the block with the treadstone. Just hard when custom suspension is used. A 4 into 1 might yield faster spool and more top end. That cast manifold won't crack ever.

    Ok. I’ve got most all my engine bay space in mine. I located my solenoid box for winch up high on passenger wheel well and moved my cables cruise relay back to near firewall. Stock airbox that I want to keep will be the deciding factor as whether I pull the trigger or not. But honestly even if I did order a TStone and it comes in and won’t allow stock airbox I’m pretty sure I could resell very quickly either here, FB, or even fleaBay. Likely for a slight profit to cover my troubles.

    Hey guys, I am running a MAPECU3 on my turbo 2TR-FE. A while back I adjusted the idle up from 660rpms to around 800-850. Today I am throwing a p0505 idle control system malfunction code, and I’m wondering if the two are related. I bumped it up a couple hundred rpm for the summertime since it’s hot here in Texas and I figured that might help the mechanical fan and ac performance at idle. Curious if anyone else has had something similar happen

    Have you yet tried lowering it? Being the way the MAP-ECU works as a piggy back, it may be your adjustment is the culprit.

    Made the change and it hasn’t thrown the code yet. Time will tell though, I’ll try to follow up in here in a week or so after I do some more driving

    I think I may have it licked now. I had one of the ports on the valve cover capped. I put a cheap breather on it. Redid my drain with my modified fittings and added the inline restrictor. So far so good. I’ll play with it some more tomorrow so I don’t disturb the neighbors tonight. I had it narrowed down to crankcase pressure and sure as shit the port I had plugged was moving quite a bit of air. Time shall tell.

    Does the factory ecu ramp up rpm on A/C use when using MAPECU3 or do you need to add that back in MAPECU3? I have to add that back in using Haltech.
