Are you into the outdoors stuff or are you wanting to do something inside? Are you going alone or with people/kids? Not to pry into your business but this influences some of my suggestions is all.

It is! I was actually a history minor in college haha, I’ve been to Monticello many times and it’s super cool. One of my options I’m considering is going back there because it never gets old. (Pun intended?).

I have not seen that before, thanks!

Lol I totally get it! No kids and I’m looking for something outdoors like driving trails or a scenic drive, maybe a nice scenic national park. I did Shenandoah National Park a while ago and skyline drive was super cool.

I was thinking maybe one of the national parks in WV? A few YouTubers I follow did the Monongahela National Forest and it looks super cool. The catch is that if I’m gone for more than like 6 hours I’ll have to bring the pups with me so they don’t destroy the house.

Gotcha. I'm not very familiar with anything in WV, but as far as VA or MD goes, you could always hit up Flagpole Knob down in Dayton, VA, Peters Mill Run near/past Front Royal, VA, Rausch Creek up in PA.
Hiking you could go to Kiptopeke State Park down in Cape Charles, VA, Pemberton State Park over in Salisbury, MD or Trap Pond State Park in Laurel, Delaware.

Sweet! Those are all places I’ve never heard of and I’ve lived here my whole life

Thanks man I’ll check those out and let you know if I wind up doing one or more.

Flagpole Knob, Raush Creek and Peters Mill Run are all trails you can take the truck through. It's a good time. I've only been to Flagpole, out of those three.
The hiking spots are all places I used to go to/have gone to before. They don't disappoint. Kiptopeke was my favorite because it has a few trails to hike and is right up against the water, so you can actually go down onto the beach and chill/eat lunch/hang out. Its usually pretty quiet during the off season, and being that it's on the eastern shore, not many people live over there, at least not in that area. It's like 5 bucks or something to get in if I recall. There are some sand dunes you can go out and stand on. Ticks are definitely around there so check yourself afterwards if you do end up going there. There's like an abandoned ship there that you can see, but can't go on. It's pretty cool in my opinion. But wherever you do end up going, let us know!

Bald Eagle is a fun place to explore in a truck & hiking. Wife & I camped nearby and spent a day there exploring. Before we went it was recommended to me to buy a map of Bald Eagle. I purchased a Purple Lizard map, glad I did.

Awesome man! This is exactly the type of stuff I was looking for, some light trails and nature-y stuff that isn’t too crazy. Thanks so much.

Perfect! I will definitely check it out, not sure if I’m gonna do it this go around since it’s a little far but it’s in my top 5. I’ll definitely make sure to get a map before I go.

If you plan on flagpole, I wouldn’t go up Union Springs alone. Not too too challenging but would be nice to have a spotter.

Gettysburg is an interesting day trip. Pretty cool at night too if you're into ghosts and such.

Thanks! I actually hit up Gettysburg about a year ago and it was really interesting. Definitely a good day trip.
