Not "base" with the leather seats and chrome handle/mirrors. Looks like it's listed incorrectly.

It just sold. No luck. One thing I learned with Tacomas or with any car you are buying, you need to be ready to go at a moment's notice and have your $ lined up. If you try to schedule it for the weekend or 3 nights later, the vehicle WILL be gone. Learned my lesson.

Definitely use the vin decoder to confirm the grade. We've seen some wacky "conversions" here, especially guys who buy a base 2WD and try to badge them to look like a TRD Off Road 4x4 lol.

Makes me wonder if a dealer or previous owner installed some Limited parts on a Base.

As I understand it the Tacoma is either base, prerunner or xrunner. The Limited, Sport and Off Road are all packages. In fact my sport even has an sr5 badge on it.

My "base" is that - BASE. 2wd, bench seats, manual windows and locks, no audio control in the steering wheel. Didn't come with intermittent wipers and cruise (but I added them myself). It did come with auto - i finally gave in from years of driving stick (getting too old). I didn't care about what it didn't have as long as it had a/c. I mean, the only time I roll my windows up/down is at the drive-through.

The limited is a base with leather and 18in rims and a few other earings on the pig (chrome mirrors/handles etc) Nothing functional over the base sr5 truck.

this is a base model tacoma with one or two options... was not the easiest to locate and purchase this particular truck when new... the toyota dealerships do not have an interest in selling (rarity) because the profit margin is much smaller (versus the higher trimmed tacomas with extras)... no bells and whistles means it can't break if you don't have it...

My Base model is even more baser than that - no extra/extended cab. The cab ends where my @ss ends.

    I don't even have six lugs:rimshot:

It's a Sport w/o the skewp, but also comes with JBL, heated softex seats (I liked mine), Homelink auto dimming mirror. I would have paid $23k for that in a heartbeat. The 18" wheels and chrome I could have done without.

That’s a really nice truck but damn this market is nuts. I’ll bet that truck was under $35k brand new. Held its value very well to fetch $23k 10 years later.

    $35-36k for a 2013. My 2015s were $37k MSRP and I paid just under $35k.

I looked at a 2014 OR yesterday that was listed for $27.9k. 89k miles and the engine a drive train were in good shape, but the body had 30-40 "touched up" scratches and a few dents, plus sever dents on the roof, that may have been from hail. Also, the drivers door had a rip in the armrest. It was advertised as "never been offroad". After looking at it very close, it looked like it was someone's hunting truck, that was taken in for a detail.

Barry is a very nice guy and has a beautiful Vette shop. If I was looking for a Vette, I'd definitely give him a call.

I walked away from that "fair at best" condition, overpriced truck.
