    After many delays and a recall I finally picked her up today. It’s hard to keep the faith but with @Rod03 lending his help it made the road a little easier. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

    @Rod03 does my dealership have the same means to access this info or …? I’m unclear why everyone is knocking on your door. I really hesitate to burden you if I can get this info via my own dealership. That’s a lot of unconsumed coffee!

    Morning Megabyzus....my experience is that my dealer even with the sales person being a family friend in working with my family over the last 10 plus years seems to have little to no information on whats going on. I have asked for updates over the past nine months going on ten and all I get is little if any information. @Rod03 has been a lighthouse in the storm of waiting and unknown times lines and cant say how much help he has been in giving me information on the my truck as well as its whereabouts and possable delivery date that the dealership does not seem to know or care to share with me other than "You will get a call when it comes in".....LOL

    I totally get it. Is this dealership attitude due to no access or simple ignorance and laziness? i.e. does @Rod03 have a source the dealerships do not?

    BTW, I've just started with this and my dealership does in fact come across as passive. But I still haven't wielded the Hammer of Thor on them so not sure if they in fact will give me updates. I want to push things with them before bothering @Rod03.

    Every dealership *has* the ability to track a vehicle's status; whether they choose to do so is up to them. There is no question @Rod03 is providing a valuable service to this group, and kudos to him for doing so, but the fact remains, each dealership *can* do the tracking as well.

    Yes, every dealer *has* the ability to track a vehicle, but they don't really care about the fine details. The bigger places have hundreds of them to track, and if they spent the time to update every customer about every stop the vehicle was making... well, it'd be a huge waste of time. Rod is just being exceptionally gracious, in my opinion, to keep answering "where is it now? how about now? and now? I know I asked two days ago but how about today?" I don't blame the dealers for not keeping customers informed to that degree. When we order Audis, we get told when the car is being built, shipped, and when it arrives. Works for me!

    The truck was build on 09/16, processing was completed on 09/17. No movement so far.
