Yeah, I agree. But in sports, that's about the time you start to set your reputation.

Watching the Talladega weather, it looks like Cheaha mountain is the dividing line between decent and bad race weather, about 20 miles east of the track. I had tent reservations on top of the mountain. Checked the park lodge and they had one room available. Canceled my camping reservation and got the room with a king-size bed.

I was surprised there was no suspension for Gibbs, especially since they said it was a second offense.

Well, Chase is up to 7th! You could tell when it clicked what he had just done when he admitted it. You could see the gears in his head turning but at least he owned it.

Hendrick is going to appeal the Byron penalty, can't say as I blame him. They should have penalized him during the race, tail end of the longest line, it sure wouldn't have cost him that many points and definitely not 50k.

Agreed 100%. Hold him in pit box for a lap and nip it in the bud right then & there. The penalty after the fact is total overkill.

I feel like that’s the problem with NASCAR,they don’t have set rules that they enforce instantly. They always try to figure it out on the spot on how it will effect their big picture goal. Like when a caution should be thrown, who does it help and who does it hurt.

According to them, they were focused on the crash and missed what happened between the 24 and 11 which is why they didn't act. I don't really buy that considering there's replays and plenty of time under caution to sort that out. This isn't the NFL where you miss the call when it happens and you don't get another shot.

he doesn't if he's not racing. He'll probably have to win, if he comes back next week, or he's out.
