Any tips on installing the Tundra steering rack? I am about 99% sure you have Basiks rack in your truck.

 

I do! Best tips would be on my IG page, 4lo_pro. I have a story highlight where I detail it. My way of going about it was sorta crude, @WormSquirts has a much cleaner way of doing it.

I think we've done 3 now, but all on 3rd gen tacomas. Shouldn't be too different though. I think the third gen is actually tighter

 

Step 1: Buy a tundra
Step 2: Declare it not a build
Step 3: Trailer the problem child

 

I’ve heard that as well. First install I’ve seen of a tundra rack on a third gen they sunk it down into the cross member for clearance.

 

Step 4: Ignore the original build
Step 5: Stop posting on your build thread
Step 6: Stop wearing black socks with boat shoes

 

Step 7: Put down the Franzia.
Step 8: Shave your mustache.
Step 9: Consider selling your truck.

All I can say is step 10 is definitely not "install tundra rack on a tacoma"

 

Build update: I drove Betty white today. That’s it, that’s the whole update. She’s been sitting for weeks.

Gonna give her a once over soon in preparation for a wheeling trip next weekend.

 

Just for clarity, who is betty white again?

Build Update: I have been dailying Norris for a few weeks. Will prep for a swap of my worn out Wet Okole seat covers for some slightly less worn out covers and finally try to install both my new front wheel bearings/hubs this weekend.

Also might try my hand at vinyl wrapping like the fake OP to cover up the failing clear coat on the roof. I found a 5x6 sheet of a reputable brand gloss black vinyl on Amazon for $40...
