Hello everyone. My 2020 SR has the usual rear crank lowering system for the spare tire and was wondering what folks here do for maintenance and lubrication? I guess it's a good idea to drop it down, take off the spare, add air if necessary, lube everything once in awhile? I noticed some light rusting on the spare tire rim. I have a gallon of Woolwax and was going to coat it.

Also, speaking of Woolwax, does anyone in SE PA know who applies it? I saw some members here who get it done in Massachusetts.

^This. Exercise the mechanism a few times a year (you need to check tire pressure anyway). Then fluid film it once or twice a year. I know people with older Toyota trucks that never did this, and the mechanism is rusted in place.
