Open up the scoop as much as you can for those of you with the Sport model, remove the cowl weatherstrip at the rear during the summer (5 second removal mod), remove the fender liner rubber pieces, run a 160* thermostat, switch to an E-Fan, and run water wetter or engine ice for both the radiator and the supercharger LTR.

You'd be surprised how well the truck is capable of shedding heat and running AC at low speeds/ idle after doing all of this.

I run Engine Ice in my dirt bikes. Works amazing. You think it's better than the Toyota brand pink coolant? Toyota is pretty proud of their coolant...

    I KNOW it works better.

Water is known to shed heat much better than coolant, however, because water has a lower boiling point than coolant it cannot be run in it's purest form as is. That's why they make things like engine ice and water wetter.

Here's an example for you. The 2015 Z06's with the 1.7L supercharger (I remembered the model this time @Norton) :D were prone to overheating on the track back in the day. So what the boys were doing to abate those issues were either running a 90/10 water coolant mix or using water wetter/ engine ice and straight water. The problems magically went away the moment the coolant dilution was changed or was changed out completely to pure water with the additive.

Toyota and their pride can kick rocks. Their products are riding purely on the name from yesteryear at this point and nothing more. They are no more special than any of the other manufacturers out there.

    Hi.
Been screwing around elsewhere I guess.

Employment status change has me around a lot fewer Toyotas these days.

Just breezing in here periodically to pester guys like poor Travis there.

Noticed the Tundra magnusun fit kit calls for the same IKH 22 spark plugs that the Tacoma does. What was the supposed benefit of swapping the spark plugs from Iridium to Ruthenium was? Quick google search seem to suggest Iridium were more durable and longer lasting and Rutheniums offer more mileage

Seems to be better MPG and smoother idle. For the S/C truck you prob wont have very long duration with either setup. I just swapped to Ruth and Ripp packs and so far its been smooth and gained a bit of mpg 1-2 mpgs.

I added an important column - Wheels/Tires. Someone running an Xrunner with 28" Passenger tires is going to have a much different outcome than someone with heavy 37's on heavy beadlocks…

Hey all, I came across another “solid” motor mount option:

    https://martecnv.com/products/p/1gr-fe-polymounts

I have not bought or installed these yet, but they look to install wayyy simpler than the other offerings I’ve seen thus far. Cheaper, too.

I guess they’re not as “solid” as the design were all familiar with (two piece bushing, barrels & thru bolts) but probably also induce a bit less NVH - for those who care about such things
