Sweet tap dancing grandmas... is there an excuse for that?

For example there's been a huge real-estate increase in the Huntington WV area because the government has opened a new facility there and a bunch a DC natives are moving out there

Started booming 20 years ago with Walmart headquarters. Now it has its own ecosystem of business. Some tech companies from CA have moved in.

My primary job is photographing all our company product, usually on model...even if I had a studio at home it wouldn't be feasible to have the company ship hundreds of samples to me every week when they could just have someone work from their studio like I do now

the rest of what I do could easily be done remotely and I have thought about asking do to part time WFH if it comes to where we have to move further away....will cross that bridge when the time comes

of course the issue there is that this place is about as organized as a prison riot and it would be hard to know which days would work in advance for me to be here vs not.

I need to retire my personal Dell M6600 laptop to the garage to only run Techstream. I picked up this used 7490 just to run Lightroom and more modern software. It uses my existing docking station.

My work computer is usually a new Dell so my home computer can be older and slower.

Actually cheaper than I would've thought, for that area...Old Pasadena has a lot of money/generational wealth. But it's 2 bedrooms so that's probably one reason

Someone once told me, if it has a security gate and signs about cameras then there is a reason for it.

There are a lot of 100+ yr old Crafstmans houses in our neighborhood like that, we looked at an open house down the street a few months ago just out of curiosity and they had a tiny, narrow steep ass staircase behind a small door like that one. Went up into the attic which was like a huge loft. It was pretty cool except I would definitely eat shit on it if I used it frequently lol.

Oh yeah they're impractical and I've hit my head or almost fallen down a few haha. But the way they hid them in places is always cool. We used to stay in an old one in NC that had one behind a cupboard you wouldn't know was there unless you opened what looked like a cupboard door. It was great when we were kids.

I remember my aunt and uncle had a house when I was around 5 years old that had a spiral staircase to the bottom floor that was basically right near the middle of the living room. Had a little gate around it but it was sketchy AF especially with little kids around.
