Clean, Purpose-Built 3rd Gen SR5

Nooo, my mirrors don’t have turn signals. I just have the Meso total tails stage 1.

 

Oddly enough, I let my truck sit over night and just turned it on and now the turn signals are fine. No more hyperflashing.

 

Ah.. ghost mess you around huh? What did you do to a ghost that you piss him/her off.... lol


If it happens again, get turn signals from MESO... so it will solve the hyperflash issue. Looks like it might be lose wire connection somewhere which cause hyperflashing.

I thought you have to already have turn signals on your mirrors in order to install the mirror turn signals from Meso. Am I wrong?

 

Oh damn I forgot you have SR5 which you don't have turn signals... I am duh.

 

Haha no worries, yeah no mirror turn signals for this guy.

Oh interesting. That’s a good read but I’m happy with my normal turn signals for now. Lots of other stuff I’ll be buying for the truck before I would get to that lol

Did a couple little things today in preparation for the next road trip. New wipers and the Meso load resistors for the total tails (stage 1).





Recommendation for doing work with the taillights out…use a towel or pad, don’t put the taillights directly on the tailgate:



Installing the load resistors was as easy as connecting these wires:


Decided to mount the resistor wayyyy out of the way, back here:



Big shout out to @MESO for not only making great products, but also having the resistors at my door step 3 days after I ordered. Came in clutch for my next trip!

Got my KDMaxx tune updated today after a little over a year on the previous version (awesome) and then found a nail in one of my tires (not awesome).

I can’t say enough good things about this tune! It makes driving the truck so much fun

 

Saw a cool Ford Ranger flatbed-conversion while out on the road today…

Glad I found this thread! Started following because it appears we have very similar goals in the long run. I like the idea of opting for the SR5 to save money. That is what I had originally planned to do but got a steal on a 2020 TRD OR. I really dig the ARE shell.
