One of the biggest mistakes I made last year was trying to apply the windshield banner in one piece; I cut it into three pieces and applied them all separate this time...

I'm not gonna bother putting the props on until next week because they'll just get trashed in the rain...

Exactly 13 years ago, I sat in a salesman's office with my dad while he negotiated a price on brand new 2010 Tacoma regular cab with just 20 miles on the clock. He ended up getting the truck for a little under $15K, and he could have paid cash, but 3 years at just 0.9% APR through Citadel was free money as far as he was considered and just too good to pass up! He put like two grand down and financed the rest, and the title has been in my name for almost 7 years!

I'd say that at least 50% of the truck has been replaced in the last year, including at least $20K of work that I didn't have to pay for (frame replacement under recall in November 2021 and damage from the scrapyard incident in February 2022 that wasn't my fault).

And she isn't even finished yet; I've still got some more stickers coming in the mail, and I'm not gonna bother with the very expensive props (zombie heads, severed limbs, fake zombie killing weapons) until next week because it's supposed to pour until Tuesday...

    It sure looks different now.
If you can keep the frame coated, you might be able to get 13 more years out of it.

I know my 2007 probably won’t make it to 25 years old.
I just haven’t been on top of the maintenance that’s required to make it that far.
I used to be really good about changing all the fluids and checking over things.
But in the last few years, I’m doing good to pop the hood between oil changes.

I guess I’m starting to be “the avg. car owner”.
    Turn key, press pedal, Go.

It’s like the older I get, the less free time I have.
And the free time I have, I just don’t feel like crawling around under a truck.
I used to kind of enjoy tinkering with vehicles, now I despise it.

I know the glass needs to be cleaned, they scratch so easily I hate to touch it, I run with the windows down most of the time.

    That is almost $29/can!

Naturally, now I need to get some "...because nothing else will be as good..." :frusty:

Great stuff. We used to use it all the time on the plastic of our motocross bikes.

Did you get a new frame or no? Do Tacos in Tennessee qualify?
