Yeah, but customs won't let anything newer than 25 years in at the port. You can technically bring vehicles like this into the country before they're old enough, but it will be virtually impossible to get a title. People bring those little Kei trucks from Japan into this country all the time for private/off-road use before they are 25 years old, but in most states they won't be able to get a title even when the vehicle is old enough for the 25-year loophole.

    Which V8 was that?

My 1984 Camaro had the V8 305cid, which was about 170hp off the assembly line. That said it was a lot simpler to wake up that engine back in the day...giggle

I am generally not a big fan of newer Volkswagens that are (A) not a GTI or powered by a diesel engine, and (B) not equipped with a manual transmission, but I made an exception for this 2013 Beetle because the retro-styled black wheels looked cool, and the backdrop of a touristy New England town made for a pretty backdrop...

For some reason I'd like to say Buick...? I know that the earliest Range Rovers had detuned Buick V8s. My friend and former employer's 1994 D90 has the added benefit of a 5-speed stick; I am told that automatic D90s are incredibly gutless...

What a coincidence. After seeing this post, I drive past this RHD Defender today. Though these photos are no where as nice as yours, Charlie. I blame the dash cam.

Not too many RHD imports where I live. But I do see R32 Skylines and S13 Silivias driving around (not the right thread, but I thought fitting).

Yeah, my Nikon D5500 is pretty hard to beat; I've got a few snapshots I took with my old Cobra dashcam, including a 1970s Toyota Chinook camper!

Where do you live if you don't mind me asking?

I wonder why? Missouri requires emissions testing in St. Louis metro, but I thought they were pretty lax compared to say California or New York, especially California. JDM and European gray market vehicles are incredibly common here in Pennsylvania, and a lot of them are actually quite easy to get through emissions so you don't have to settle for antique or classic tags that limit how often you can drive.

Definitely lax on emissions! I just don't have tremendous luck spotting gray market vehicles. Though I cherish the ones I see.

The Mitsubishi Delica is starting to get really big; I've got a lot pictures in my other non-Toyota "stalking thread", and I even got drive a couple of them last February!

Money can buy a lot of things. Class and common sense are NOT on that list.

It was in a group specifically for bagged vehicles, but no price listed; I know of a 100% correct 1982 Silver Spirit with like 80K miles for sale in Illinois for just under fifty grand. This bagged Rolls is in Canada, and if I had to guess, I'd say about US$30,000?
