Hah! Yes! I liked the dealer and the sales person, but the first gas station I came to after I drove off the lot I pulled in and removed it with the "fishing line" method.

Buy far the driver side grab handle that the 3rd gens (for some reason) come without!
What a pain in the butt. I doubt any of them are bolted on without being cross threaded.

installed 2 layers of tint over the shifter display lighted area, and 1 layer over the Entune touch screen. waaaaay too bright, at night. to the point of distracting, and no way to dim it to my preference. plus... STOCK SUCKS! Ski

never got why anyone would leave that crap. I have them remove it before I leave the lot on any vehicle I've purchased. This truck the sales chic asked why, I said "how much are you paying me to advertise"? crickets :D

I shoulda clarified, I don’t mean the ARB products..I mean the goofy ass, non functional “bull bar” that doesn’t cover anything and destroys your vehicle when you hit something.

I’m not bull bar fan. But I don’t get the argument of it destroys trucks. The crap bumper we have stock will get killed in a 5 mile an hour grocery store bump. Without the bull guard.
Too me it’s just another thing too get killed. Lol.

It’s a damage multiplier due to the way it mounts. It’s only attachment points are low and an impact forces it to pivot into the grille or hood. Parts which would have otherwise been unaffected at low speed are now trashed because there’s no support behind the bar up high. After a certain speed the vehicle would be fucked anyway, but in low speed situations they do more harm than good imo

Sometimes this is called a brush guard, but attaches in a similar way

This. A bull bar (or "brush bar" would be more accurate) can push limbs or brush away from the grille (not sure why that's needed) but at a low speed impact it will push into the grille casing damage that likely wouldn't have occurred had it not been there in the first place.

Similarly, and I know some people will hate to hear this, steel aftermarket bumpers can cause more damage, or at least different damage than the OEM bumper would in the same collision.

That said, I do want a steel front bumper. Haha

Installed one of those "bull bars" for a friend years ago on an SUV. He thought he was adding "robust protection" when in reality it was super thin gauge tubing, but he got the "look" of being "tough". I didn't say anything and held my opinion back.

Westin has an upper support bracket that helps but looks fuggly. Like I said not a fan anyways. I see your point.
