I always like doing this comparison. The store pick has some serious floral notes that the normal one doesn’t

Well shit. Regretting my decision to pass now. They told me they haven’t broken in to NC’s ABC system yet so none here.

Was a hefty flight, hence the baby pours

Wife and kiddo are out of town, so this dad gets to relax in peace. My dogs are terrible drinking buddies though.

I miss that bottle. Very good quality to value in that one. It'll be exciting to see what else comes out of Nevada in the coming years.

@Hook78 and @jandrews how'd you make out with what’s left of Hurricane Ian out there?

Jon coming in with the important questions.

I sure felt like a dick when I forgot to check in with my brother outside of Orlando until Ian was right over his head.

That’s a bummer. Pretty fortunate that we have at least their regularly available 91,99rye and 111 cask here in Fl. Also one locally owned store near me has a lot of more desirable options from Chattanooga Whiskey as well as other distilleries

Round 2, solo pour. My absolute favorite store pick of 2020. I like to think that this is the bottle that earned me the lotto ticket that was picked for me to purchase that GTS. Dammit I sure miss private owned liquor stores.

I'm curious what you think of that one. I've seen it around, but like other KO bottles, I haven't tried it yet.

Likewise. Have had my eye on a few bottles but just haven’t pulled the trigger yet

I shelved it for a while because I wasn’t a fan. Figured tonight’s a good night to give it another go. It’s…different. I’m trying to think of something I’ve had to compare it to. It almost tastes like Canadian whiskey, which I don’t care for. It may have something to do with this Irish whiskey collaboration they tout. I’m still not a big fan, and the weird thing is I had it at my bosses house and I enjoyed it. I forget who, but someone posted an article about Kentucky Owl that basically said it’s a blend of who-the-fuck-knows. That could explain why I enjoyed another bottle but this one may be shelved again.

We're cranking it up to 12. Private barrel from my favorite Kentucky distillery.
