I'm about to fit my 5lug with a lift. I wanted 16x8 rims with as close to the original +40 offset from the factory rims, but I couldn't find any. Instead I did find some 16x7 with +40 offset. I wanted to know would I still be able to fit Good Year DuraTrac tires 245/75R16? Also would there be any difference in handling since I'm opting for the 7" instead of 8" wide rims?

Stock prerunners have 245/75R16 on 7 inch wide rims. So should not be a problem. I'm still debating about new wheels but haven't found any that I really like. Don't want them to stick out much and no way am I going to grind the callipers or put on spacers so I think when the time comes I'll just throw on 235/75R15 and look into swapping the stock 3.31 gears for oem 3.58s.
