Because I'm extra I wanted to remove the stickers partially blocking the star holes, got pretty pissed for a second when I saw that my new MaxPower "made in USA" stickers were hiding another manufacturer's sticker, but apparently these Copperhead blades are still "made in USA" so now I'm confused but whatever?

needed a little jump start but the husky tractor fired up and smoked for a bit. it was a quart low on oil and i just grabbed some cheap 10-30 at the gas station. do i need to let it idle for a while to give the battery some charge help? with a new plug i bet it would run smoother but i took it up a 200' hill in top gear and it did fine. not bad for 75 buck as of now.

Better to put it on a small charger if you have one, the lower the amps the better.
Battery Tender or NOCO Genius 1 are both good units and not very expensive at around $30.
The use of smart chargers on batteries that aren't used every day like OPE really makes the batteries last longer.

2 months old the battery should be fine unless it has been sitting completely dead for the 2 months.

If you don't have a charger you can leave the engine running for a while at about 1/2 speed, idling won't charge very well and also doesn't cool the engine well either. It takes quite a while of running to thoroughly charge a low battery, mowers don't have a very high output charging system, just as well as the small battery can't accept a high rate charge either.

A low amp charger is still the best way to get a complete charge, even brand a new battery isn't really fully charged, I put them on the tender overnight before the first use.

I drive past there every day, so if you decide to rework your old cylinder or get a new one just drop your old one off at my house and I can drop it off there on my way to work if you don't want to drive all the way out there.

    Yes.

The hydro unit isn't designed for more rpm and neither is the engine flywheel -- you might put the "fly" in flywheel to put a humorous spin on it.

See what I did there? ;);)

Do you have a voltmeter by chance?
The battery should read around 12.6 volts when fully charged with the engine off.
With the engine running about 1/2 speed it should read around 13.8 - 14.2 volts if the charging system is working.

Does this unit have a 12 volt solinoid valve for the carb?

If yes, the battery went flat and the valve closed. It ran out of gas.

Bad voltage regulator, bad stator is a good possibility.
