    congrats!

yeah, I did mine in the first few weeks along with the TRD logo. And a cheap ‘mod’ did take some time getting the residue off

Go ahead and do it Rocket. I dont think you will be disappointed in the least. Its funny, cuz it makes a huge difference and hey...its free...LOL
It took a little over an hour Id guess. The most time consuming part is peeling off the leftover glue with your thumbnail/finger after you get the badge off using fishing line. Once thats off, goo gone takes care of the remaining adhesive. I kind of wish I did before and after pics, but I didnt think about it.

I don’t. They have a policy on new vehicles as opposed to used. Mine wasn’t abused and never was used for towing. It did haul gravel at one point. Found a few stones under the bed mat.

I have an easier method. Hit it with a heat gun first. Then fishing line. Then heat gun again. Acetone gets the nod for residue. Then a good wax to build up the clear coat.

I finally installed the Redarc brake controller/knob with the custom mount from @pgfitzgerald

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-redarc-tow-pro-liberty-install.773860/

It was a bigger ordeal than it should have been. Both the dash and fitztaprint dash mount from Etsy had to be cut with a box cutter/xacto knife. Also, the dealer had installed some sort of GPS tracker/alarm back in December of 2016 when I bough the truck new and that was mounted exactly where the Redarc needed to be. I never paid for the GPS tracker/alarm and I recall asking the dealer to remove it, but it apparently they disabled it and left it instead.

Anyway, I was able to trace the wires and yank it all out and I only had to reconnect the factory purple wire they cut with the existing orange extension jumper wire. :welder:

Now I just need to order the Auxbeam AR-800 switch panel. (sorry for the crumby pictures:oops:)

Finally installed the factory OEM LEDs on my 2.5 year old truck. Thanks to Dave for supplying the harnesses needed for the install. They change the entire look of the truck. A fair warning for those who may do this in the future…. it’s extremely easy to scratch these lights when sliding them in the truck, be careful. You have to angle them in very odd-like and it’s easy for the metal to catch the corners of the lights. Put a few little scratches in mine, but I’m not too concerned with it because they will likely collect rock chips/scratches as time goes on anyways.

Installed a blitz bumper and apex 12k winch. Truck looks pretty tough now. Need some support brackets next.
