I forewent a couple inspections to make things go better. All I did was a septic inspection and water test. I knew the electrical panel needed replaced, but everything else seemed in good shape. Turns out there's some light termite damage and a couple odd and end things. Although the septic inspection failed to mention the leach field is at about 50% capacity and is original to the house (1965). So that's gonna be fun to dig up the yard to replace. I can do that myself luckily and already have the new field mapped out.

So it's a crapshoot (literally for me, heh) nowadays...

    You needed a bed
I suggested a twin due to size if trailer.

Adam is correct. The Yaris became dangerous to drive out of nowhere. Initially it looked like I either wasn't going to be able to fix it or it would be quite sometime before I could. So I decided it was time to move my daughter into something newer with less miles. In order to do that I needed to get the wife a new car.

    20220508_154750.jpg

My long term plan was to give her the wife's Corolla all along. But that situation moved those plans forward. Ultimately I was able to get the Yaris back on the road within a couple of weeks. Had I known that was going to be the case I probably would have waited a bit longer. But that's fine. She faithfully drove that little car for 4 years without complaint. She's such a good kid. I was happy to give it to her.....even if it was earlier than I had planned. But it would have made a good college graduation present. But that's ok.

    20190901_104605.jpg

All that said.....the Yaris became an extra car. I've been reluctant to sell it because it's such a solid car, despite it's age and mileage. Plus, in less than a year my youngest will be 16. So 6 months later it's still around. It's kinda my "truck" right now.

Good used cars are hard to come by these days. And prices are stupid. Right now I just want to hang on to it

I know that tune, since it's adaptable to other lyrics since the Sorensen Magnet School principal invited me to join their staff choir to sing their version at an annual fundraiser banquet. I'm sure he wanted more than his own male voice on that stage. I sang for my dinner that night, a Coeur d'Alene Resort banquet. Roald Dahl's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"
