The shithook.. Was wondering if that term was gonna come out. Have not had that pleasure, but pilots trying to dump you out the doors in UH60's doing hard bank turns is dang fun in. I miss the Huey, and could always distinguish it by sound, day or night with no visual of it.

A life long, good friends son, moved over from the Infantry after 10-12yrs. (Enlisted), to flying (driving) UH-60's now as a Warrant officer. been doing it for I think 5 years now down at Ft Bragg.

Was in much too late for the Hueys. Now a Blackhawk on the other hand, I can tell one from miles away. Only better sound is an A10 coming to pour some lead on an objective.

I got lucky in the Huey. the Unit still had a couple because the ranking 06 (Vietnam Vet) was a driver and did his best to keep 'em till Big Army said other wise. the Blackhawk sounds to generic to me. I know they all have there own signature sound, but the Huey does it for me. The pissed off bees (OH-6) is another good one as well.

    A10.... no contest.

I've been fortunate to have flown in most skids including hueys since the Corps still had them during my time (may still have them....I should know this! lol). Even got to fly gunner in a cobra for my birthday! Anyway, I will admit that the Army pilots make for an incredible flight in the 60. I've never vertically elevated so fast or have parts of my limbs hanging out the door because of the hard banking like you said. They even rode the below tree top along the roads of quantico and dropped down below so fast that the greatest roller coaster just couldn't compare! My respect to the Army pilots for sure!

Having had a street bike myself when I was younger plus knowing way too many people who have died in motorcycle accidents, I can’t say I’ll ever own one again. If anything I’ll get a dirt bike to satisfy that urge.

One of the first things my wife (a PA) and I did as a couple, was go visit her cousin and husband at the hospital. He was turned in front of, flipped over the bike and car and landed on his shoulders and neck. At the time he couldn't move anything below his shoulders. He made a full recovery, doesn't remember the incident, and no longer rides.

Nice! I’m pretty sure the Huey is still used in limited form by the Marines. could be wrong though (today). They were still in active use back in 04-05.

 Birthday boy in front.. good deal. Bet that was fun ride?. Another distinctive sound..

Right on. ARMY has some damn good pilots.

    Thank you for your Service.

Buddy of mine in texas died a couple months ago on his harley in an accident.

To all the 2 wheeled drivers out there: stay safe. Speed kills.

Someone, who we're not going to mention, dropped it in a 3' ditch at a medium rate of speed.
