Spent a couple nights at the beach, for a bit of a shakedown trip for the build as of the moment.

Short stop at a viewpoint to check in with a friend:

With the OVS awning deployed, in case of rain:
    upload_2022-10-2_15-34-10.jpg

With awning stowed as we were back in clear weather, and after I returned from a very nice bike ride up the spit (11 miles round trip):

The Super Pacific X1 has really changed my adventure game.

Looks great! Sadly, way out of my price range at $12k. Really nice setup!

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Suggestion. Clean up your old pre runner spindles and press in new bearings and manual hubs. Keep them for spares if when you have a wheel bearing go out on you. That way, all you have to do is swap spindles. You're not forced to re-press wheel bearing "right now."

I bought the system from LightHarvest Solar. The battery is an Aspen 2000Wh "portable" (it is a bit heavy), I ran one DC and one AC feed into the camper/bed area. To charge while driving, I am using a Victron 12/800 inverter (their recommendation) to charge via AC versus charging DC.

Sike. Started it up today and to my surprise didn’t overheat like it did the other day. Idles fine ~185. Temps are still a little too high though once I start driving. Popped in a new fan clutch. That seemed to help a little. Planning on a full coolant flush to get the rest of that HG sealant crap out. Even took it on the freeway for a second but couldn’t go very long. So for now, a new motor is on hold.

Noticed the other day I have dark coolant in my overflow reservoir and the coolant from it has a slight oil sheen, smells like motor oil. But no milk shake, doesn’t look like there’s coolant in the oil. My first thought is head gasket but my oil looks and smells clean, any thoughts here.

Gonna do a coolant flush, see if anything comes back up and change my oil here soon and have black stone sample it.

Not that I know of, I re strapped the driver a few months ago when it happened and I haven’t had an issue. Now the passenger side did it, so I just cleaned it up and re strapped it. Hopefully that’s the end of it. But it’s annoying to pay RCV prices and run into issues like this

Yep. The 1” body lift really helped, there were three spots that needed some minor convincing with the hammer.
