    I started working on an old desk yesterday. I'll be turning them into end tables.

    The top had seen better days in it's approximately 100 years of use. It only had 1 coat of shellac on it that had worn off.

    I started sanding with 80, the 120, then 220, then 320. This is the money shot with it wetted with water. The wood is as smooth as glass.

    I almost was a conscientious objector to the forceful demand for randumbs of old things. But, I caved because I like @StayinStock that much
