2006 toyota tacoma starts and runs for just a second before dieing

    I've never seen an IAT fault cause a driveabiltity or stalling problem.


    Is it still a start/stall?

    Are you sure it wasn’t -40 (Negative)?
    The IAT will show -40 when there is an open in the circuit.

    On a cold engine, the IAT should read the same as the outside air temperature.
    Since yours shows 66’ now, it looks like it is reading correctly now. Maybe it wasn’t plugged in good, or making good contact.

    As for the 353, that’s a code for ignition confirmation.

    yes it is still start stall. it may have been -40 and i just wasn't looking close enough. I’m beginning to think i've just got a loose hot wire or bad ground somewhere that’s interrupting a circuit.

    Pioneer CD, Megaloud/JBL amps, Rockford/Polk speakers.
    This. I had myriad open circuits on an old car I had and one big red flag is the negative 40 operating temp per the computer in the vehicle.
