Thanks for all the positive comments. I’m having a blast making them… Bringing all my stuff in this year and going through everything and poss. repainting some that have lost their colors or top coating. May just replace them one at a time until all of my equipment is the stuff I painted..

    Can’t be his kid.
    The kid is cute.
He’s a ugly mother judging by his avatar..

Well, Pulled the starter battery out of the boat.
Will move the trolling motor battery to start and buy a new one.
Time flies when your having fun.
Didn’t think it was that old.
    Checked the tag..
    I guess I can’t complain for a 10 1/2 year old battery taking a dump…

So experimental shit the next few days.
Acrylic air gun paint is like $9 a bottle (4oz)
Acrylic brush paint is a $1.25 for 8oz
    So
Thinned the brush paint with water.
Paint peeled off the lure by rubbing it lightly
    Thinned the paint with reducer
Went on and stayed on however very easy to nick.
    So
    Next experiment.
    Got some rustoleum primer.
    Just shot another body.
Will let it sit for like 18 hours and then try spraying that
Brush acrylic white over it and see how it reacts.
If ok I’ll try to epoxy it and see if I get any reaction while curing. Not costing me
    Anything really.
Here is a pic of a test piece with brush paint.
It works but very easy to damage it while playing with it.
It this primer will adhere well and I can spray over it with good results I’ll save
A shit load of money per color…

And suspicion of failure was confirmed.
1 hour in the water. Delaminating epoxy over brush acrylic over plastic.
So the last test will be with a primer
On the plastic. If it doesn’t work I’ll just stick with the expensive stuff.
    It is fun experimenting.
