LOL just remembered MetalTech has an open house on saturday. One of their planned seminars was how to change out a CV. If you talk to the guys maybe you can guinea pig or at least learn to do it yourself

I don't know much about it, but here you go. First video is a basic idea, couldn't find a really great one. The second one is much better, but only covers how to do the boot. I have a link to the repair manual, but it's on my home computer

ok guys, another treat for ya. TV for sale, Sony KDL52W4100

Here is a link for one selling new for $1599, so I figure with less than 200 hours of use its LNIB but without the box lol. Asking for $1500 with the tv stand or better offer. Stand is 200ish new, so it thrown in is pretty sweet :D

Damn, that's an amazing deal for a dealership. I wish I could score that price there

    It was Bill.

Give them a call, 800-839-0684. They are in Newberg. I'd be there if it wasn't for the wedding I have to go to.

Cameron, the Toyota dealership in Corvallis does not know what the hell they are talking about. My ex girlfriend had a Scion TC she insisted on getting tires mounted there and it was just a nightmare and a half (a story for another day). Plus my parents had an older Toyota Previa they took for service on a regular basis back in the early to mid 90's and they were always charged an arm and a leg. The only thing I use that dealership for is to buy oil filters and spark plugs :D

I would call Kendall Toyota in Eugene. They tend to be a little easier to work with and might have a cheaper labor rate. That is if you would prefer to stick with a Toyota dealership for the work. Plus they have a SWEET dealership with one of the largest inventories in this area. I always spend my time convincing the salesmen to take me on test drives while I'm having work done my vehicle.

If NOT, you should give London's Automotive a call here in Corvallis. They are a local shop that a friend of mine who builds his own kit cars trusts his more extensive repairs to. Their prices should be better and it's really hard to screw up a CV repair. (541) 753-4444 They specialize in Japanese and Domestic if I recall correctly. If you end up going with them, please let me know how the experience was. They are located on Western right next to the Maytag appliance dealership.

Yeah, there's quite a few. I haven't experienced many of them. I do most of my own work and have never seemed to keep a car long enough to have to pay for major repairs. (Except for my 1997 F-150 that I took to the local Ford dealership. What a bunch of crooks  )
