it’s a different kinda power, like I pull in for any type of work at all and it’s out fix or modded in a blink of a eye. In and out in a flash.

    No NOT sitting on grade.

From the Home Improvement thread I see NOW why you thought that. Crappy picture implies that there is a sleeper 2X below the stud. No, that is the shop slab itself at the door opening then there is the concrete raised foundation directly starting to both sides of the door king/jack studs.

    Just a shitty pic.

It's solid PT wood studs, just need to clean some more. Then treat and seal. Going to cut some polymer blocks to fill.

    Thanks.

I've got the small one. It's cut everything from angle to tube, even 3x4" rectangular tube but needed two cuts to do it. Still was super easy to line up and get almost perfect.

Forgot to mention, ignore the bottom. That's only what I was able to smooth out with an angle grinder...the uneven edges give it the false illusion that it's wobbling.

little project with a HF hatchet. Took off clear varnish, sanded, sharpened, painted and burned the handle for a rustic look.

Unrelated to tacomas, but still in my garage… so I can do some crafting.

Got myself a lapidary cabbing machine and cheapo drill press recently to make myself stone earrings (plugs) recently.

In ear pic for all you fuddy duddies who dont know what plugs/gauges are. I’ve have ~5/8” hole in my ears for 20 some odd years. I’ll be a cool old man with saggy ear lobes some day.

Get the stones cut into thick slabs. Place it in plaster of Paris in a cake pan. Once it sets, put it under 1/4” water to keep the diamond core bit cool. Drill out the cylinder. Grind rounded faces, grind out the saddle, polish it all. Have diamond embedded wheels that are 100, 200, 280, 600, 1200, 3000, 8000, 140000 grit.

Used mine plenty of times already! So yeah can agree.

Even got some steel just to dedicate a stand for it.

Still not finished as I need to weld flat stock on the bottom, put some "furniture" feet pads, a handle, and some wheels so I can move it around the shop.

That and figure out how I want to mount the base of the saw to the top of the stand.

My latest project. Ive always wanted one of those Akro-Mills type storage cabinets. I used them quite a bit at my old job and loved them. But could never justify the price.

So i set out to make one of my own. Overall...it turned out "ok". I used one of the beat up cabinets i got previously and then some louvard panels. It works just fine but if i were to do it again I have some better ideas on how to do it. Sadly the way the doors are made I cant add any to the door. The bins I have are a bit short so they do leave quite a bit of space. Ill figure out something to take up the space though.

Now Ill have to figure out how exactly I want to "kit" it out lol. Plan is to mostly use it for all the odds and ends. Crap that never really has a good home.

We will see if i convert another one of my cabinets into one of these or not. I have ideas for one for like just nuts and bolts and some other ideas. have to just fill this one up and see

Smart to get the cabinet - I have used the bins at work and home and did not like how they always got full of dust. But super handy! Getting little dividing cups for them is also a good move - check out Schaller Corp...

Yeah thats why in the past I've stayed away from them. But Ive been stockpiling a bunch...you can get the cheap on Amazon as "used" ones. These ones have the dividers built in so wont need the cups (i have some Schaller ones in the current parts bin toolbox)
