    If your having trigger issues,
    I highly recommend that you replace the stock neg ground wires with 2 or 4 gauge.
    Firewall ground wire to engine passenger head side,
    Neg Battery to fender,
    Neg Battery to engine,
    Engine neg to then go to the frame.

    the haltech is super picky needing as much voltage as possible and uses more than the stock ECU

    We ran it through the OEM grommet for the downstream sensor.

    Did you have to cut the 02 sensor wires to pull them through the grommet and then re-solder them, or did the connector fit through the grommet?

    Sorry, I miss-read your original question.

    Since I no longer have to pass emissions inspections, we just cut the OEM O2 cable as it's no longer needed. We did use that grommet though to run the haltech's wideband O2 lead into the cab. The haltech connector can fit (be pushed through) the grommet.

    After years of frustration, chasing fuel issues and fighting the Stock Toyota 5VZFE ECU. SNP Speed Innovations presents: The Haltech Harness

    My journey started with a Snow Performance methanol injection system…(Stock ECU kept trimming out the fuel)… dangerous! 

    I continued my journey with the AEM FIC6 which only helped fuel in closed loop. I had several problems with high end RPMs and voltage drops that I wasn’t even aware we’re happening. (The 1910 AEM FIC6 is no longer in production)

    I haven't noticed any changes with WOT shifting yet, seems about the same as before I installed the haltech. It does at times seems like it wants to downshift a little earlier when I give it some gas to get up a hill or do a hard acceleration, but that could also just be in my head.

    Well, the 750 does not control the trans. You’re still running the stock ECU for that correct? And IIRC the 750 also does not have electric throttle control. So, none of that would really change much. I imagine the new timing maps get rid of some torque management around shifts so that might help. Jeez, the 1-2 shift on my 04 sucks due to the torque management Toyota added.

    If you think about it next time, make a note of what RPM you can hit with the 1-2 shift at WOT. I am curious because I'm not happy with what mine is doing.

    The 2000 doesn't either. At least not by default.

    I've been told that the lack of performance feedback to the OEM ECU could cause it to get lost, or otherwise operate the trans blind.

    Do you have any trans valve body modifications? I have an IPT modified valve body in my trans.
