    Erick, do leave the tailgate at home when you have the fishing pod on the bed?
    What about that same winch tied to tow hitch and a pulley set up at the front? (with synthetic rope) with a tube locked where the tailgate would be and a small roller on the tube.:playball:

    I bring the tailgate with me, the ice shack fits in there with the gate closed. I actually thought about getting a small hitch mount one and routing it up like there, but ended up being way too much rigging.
