I'd consider an electric vehicle when there's a better solution to running out of juice out on the road than lugging a generator around. Hybrids are interesting. The Rav 4 prime is quick and efficient. I'll wait though till the infrastructure can handle it or solar gets cheaper. I'm waiting for these startup Cold Fusion reactors to come onto the grid reliably. That's the future.

Dude. Same here. Getting super excited that we may actually for real get to see a fusion reactor by 2030.

If energy gets cheap and the reactors are reliable I may switch over everything to it. Heater and water heater are all I got left on gas.

dude what passes as a machinist here is a leap of skill level lower than what you're doing. I feel like a glorified button pusher. Now that I'm in dev work a little less so, but still. I don't program, write processes or draw parts. I follow a work instruction and if there's issues bring it up with the engineer and mess with offsets.
This is my second shop. I've been here 5 years, run numerous 5x mills now. My last job I was there 1 year while going to school. So in total I have 6 years of professional machining and 2 years of tech schooling. I still have tons to learn.

Do I need to post my picture I took on a bike ride a few years ago? I rode 24 miles and had 80 feet of elevation change.

All because I went over some interstate overpasses.
