    I was just telling Joe last week that I've got my eye on another 80series that I spotted sitting in a garage with boxes piled up on it here in WV. I haven't seen the homeowner out yet to ask about it. It's just down the road from where I bought that 85 pickup.

    They are bad ass rigs, i love the old solid axle yotas. I have big plans for my stock one. I just paid off all my debt including my cabin so now I'll have extra funds for my Landcruiser build. I'm just waiting for my damn back to heal. Honestly tho I have so much fun in the trails with SxS's I've been neglecting my yotas.

    Just asking a general question, but what tire sizes are you guys running on your rigs? I've got Cooper AT3 XLT's in 285/75/16 currently. I'm curious about 255's though, vs. going back down to 265's, but those might look a little funny with my current suspension setup. Not planning to buy new tires anytime soon, but just for future ideas.

    I’ve got 255/85/16s and besides them being stiff, I like them and the way they look. Not a lot of choices in this size for the 16s though, I have the ST Max

    I have no quality info to share, but I debate all the sizes available myself… seems to be one of the main topics all over this forum.

    Who’s running what? How much lift to achieve your goal? Do they rub? Trimming involved or CMC? What backspacing are your rims?

    And then to polish it all off… people claim that all Tacos and T4R’s are different, so it varies by the rig. Not sure how that’s a “thing” but it seems to hold merit.

    Personally… I am holding off on wheels and tires until taxes. Gonna be a big expense and I don’t want to burden my daily life with a $5k splurge. I have about 3” front and 2.25” of rear lift currently with UCA’s and SpiderTrax spacers front only. I’m definitely going with 18’s… either Volk TE37s or a set of Enkei RPT1s. The Volks are about double the price sadly, but available in a variety of colors. As far as rubber goes, I’m thinking Cooper Rugged Treks. I personally love the tall skinnies… I’d love a 35” somehow, but believe I’ll end up with a 33x12.5x18 (or close to it).

    Sorry I didn’t really help your question in any way… but bigger is always better… as long as it fits!
