Looks like Rivian told Edmund on their review that the curb weight was the same is on the wiki. Leads me to believe this is accurate

I like how you the article you are quoting is also simultaneously saying that it is the best handling truck ever.

Rivian didn''t say what weights they quoted me. Regular or large battery. But they just said under 7k curb but with the larger battery that could be correct.

What’s your problem? Why are you constantly insulting me? Who’s numbers were correct? How about an apology.

If someone wants to spend 70k+ for nice handling on a truck, more power to them. There's definitely a market for this behemoth, but it's not the future of pickups

It’s heavy for it’s size but heavier trucks drive on road daily and go off-road and still do fine.

Example - my Ram 2500 CTD was 8000lbs curb weight and handled moderate offroad work fine. The sheer size of it was more a limitation than the weight of it.

This is probably the best handling truck ever.

While I would love a Syclone I doubt that's true. And either way it didn't roll off the assembly line like that so its kinda hard to compare it to a stock Rivian.

That’s what I considered the reference as well, so that is a bold statement.

Size is a limiter, but weight is just as bad or worse. it's why you can take a little side by side up a hill that any jeep would struggle with, and you could probably do it in 2wd just to show off

Agreed, but heavier trucks still can and do off-road without issues. It obviously isn’t a Rockcrawler but it’s in no way limited compared to what a Tacoma can do especially compared to a stock Tacoma.

I agree. Just don't get stuck. That's where the real danger of offroading Super Duty sized trucks lies.

Also, at least Rivian doesn't have these types of problems:

I'm okay with my 840lb battery that gets used pretty much every day.

That color does not seem popular, when I was at the Denver service center last week there was only one in a parking lot full of R1Ts waiting for delivery.

I can't express how completely unappealing that hummer is. GM went really hard on the gaudy with all their modern vehicles.

Unfortunately that’s going to become the norm with new cars and their computer systems controlling everything.
