Does anyone know if the Fit Cam X has a battery? I've always had Mobius cams and upgraded all to super capacitors because the batteries always tended to swell after a couple of years because of the heat where I live and for cars parked outside. Thanks!

I do not believe the camera system has a battery, and that all the power is drawn from the existing TSS wiring

And this is why I won't buy one. Every single thing we buy now, needs to be updated for everything. Screw that, just make it work from the get go, and leave it run like that.

Do you mean pulling power somewhere from the rear cabin area to power the whole camera system?

I haven't seen anything like that, no

no, i mean, the fit cam x is the only dash cam that plugs into the rear view mirror area that I've found.

Took a week for me as well, I expected it to ship from within the US. Not too bad of shipping time, it goes by air freight.

    1. Mine has arrived in the US and is awaiting USPS pickup
    2. Im not impressed with the ratings for the App. So then why did I order one: Its one of the few that offered Front/Rear cameras!! Hell sometimes i look in my rear view mirror, and the car behind me is so close, I can barely see their windshield
    3. Here in my area 70% + of drivers are on their cellphone, and its against the law to drive and use your cellphone!!! A number of LEO's have told me that they dont stop or ticket drivers on their phones!!! They said they are sick & tired of going to Court on their days off, and having Liberal Judges dismiss the charges:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
    4. As I have said in past posts, Ive been watching Youtube videos: "Car Crash Compilations" and this has convinced me we That all Law Abiding Drivers need a DASH CAM
    5. Damage my Tacoma, and you are at Fault, We are going to Court!!

There’s plenty, I bought a Viofo A229 front/rear combo and the Dongar adapter to tap into the mirror power. The selling points for me were it was $200 and has GPS, which the Fitcam doesn’t, and USB-c.

It’s on Amazon with Prime shipping, you could order one today and have it by tomorrow if you’re near a distro center, the day after if you’re farther out.

I considered the Viofo, but I currently have ceramic tint on my front windshield and regular dashcams interfere if you use a sun shade. (must have with the 100+ Texas heat). Viofo and Blackvue make excellent dashcams.
