I'd agree. I had a healthy (not obese, active, no diabetes/obvious issues) 28 year old friend several years ago who had ~3/day for a couple of years.

He suffered a massive brain hemorrhage, fell into a coma, and came out of it with severely reduced mental faculties. Not quite an invalid, but his life is in no way similar to what it used to be.

The doctors couldn't directly link his energy drink consumption to his coma, but they said it was "most likely the cause".

Just be careful. I don't want to see anyone else deal with that possibility.

The high caffeine content in the energy drinks can cause your heart rate to spike, thicken your left ventricle making it harder to effectively pump blood so the heart compensates by creating more pressure, higher pressure can result in dislodgment of clots and can cause either heart attacks or strokes…untreated strokes can lead to a hemorrhage Depending on the severity.

I’m fully aware of what I’m doing to myself…and I’m working on it lol I’m weening myself off.

I’ve got a friend from college that basically lived on energy drinks vs water, soda, or coffee. He is in his early 40s with a pacemaker as a result.
    Take it easy fellas.

I know have maybe one RB on F1 race weekends to support the team and bring good luck. Even then, the ol’ lady gives me shit from time to time.

RBs aren’t terrible, not a lot of fake stuff in those and depending on the size the caffeine is less than a Venti Starbucks coffee…
