It’s all good it’s been almost a year. Yes that was the house. I guess buying Tacomas makes me happy maybe some sort of therapy at this time.:)

Same here but I think the RipCord DIY camper can be modified easily to fit a 1st gen. I, a lurking 2nd gen owner, built one myself and it wasnt that bad.. I'm about $3200 all in. Thats counting buying stuff to make the jig, welding supplies, etc.

Oof I know the feels. Didn't loose a taco but my first Toyota truck died a similar death.

Got my Hellas installed yesterday and went to pick up dinner and test them out. I need to spend some time one night aiming them how I like, the driver's side light was almost perfect for lighting up the ditch and trees but the passenger side was way too far up and out completely detached from all my other beam patterns. I also got pulled over by Highway Patrol (I guess the 33s threw off my speedometer more than I thought) but ended up just talking Toyotas for 10 minutes and getting let go :D

Yeah they're pretty obtrusive (my girlfriend thinks they look dorky) but I like the look better than LED pods on a truck with the older front end. Now that I have the brackets installed, I may change things around down the road if I find some compact pods that I like. One positive is they catch a lot of wind and whistle sweet songs to me while I'm going highway speeds.

I pressed out my hub, but the bearing came apart instead, what did I do wrong?

Nothing, that's what happens, they're not a reusable part. Easiest way to remove the old bearing cage and race now is to heat it up with a torch while rotating it and itll nearly fall off the hub.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
You didn't do anything wrong. That happens to me just about every time I do the wheel bearings.

I usually just cut a slot in that with a dremel (will need to be at an angle to get in there) and then use a cold chisel to pop it off. (Careful not to cut through that bearing and in to the hub snout)

Hey guys, planning to swap my radiator out, I’ve got a 3.4 auto with an external trans cooler.

I know some people have bought a shorter rad for the 2.7 or 2.4 manuals, I can’t find any info on that and been searching all day.

All the 2.7 manual rads seem to be the same length as the one I have now.

Anyone have that info on hand?

I might just try renting a bearing separator kit….eventually

Look on rockauto for the 2.7L single core rads. Without trans cooler. They list the overall lengths and heights on them too so you can be sure it'll be the size one you want.
this is the one I got and it's been fine for me. Although on 2.7L not 3.4

Yep, just posted about this the other day. 4 out of 4 ended up this way for me. It's pretty damn rare for it to press out clean apparently. As others mentioned, heat it up and work it out or cut it/chisel.
