Fall is my favorite time for Scotch and Ryes. Anybody else experience seasonal taste preferences with their brown water?

Last 2 bottles to take home. I’ve reached my limit for bottles in my checked bag haha.

Scotch all year 'round for me! Just recently got into Campbeltown... not the easiest to get.

In my opinion, the colder the weather, the better a high proof tastes. Or a spicy rye, or a toasted.

I agree. I also lean toward heavier peat in the cold of Winter.

    Scam.

I was lured over there a while back through Google shopping as they were advertising MSRP Blanton's.

They take payment through paypal and the "business" is based in the Phillipines. Red alert, abort!

Theres a reason they have everything in stock at too good to be true prices.

I’ve come across several sites like that. Do a little digging on the website and you’ll typically see they are based oversees which is scam central

You can venmo me @ TotallyLegitWhiskey or @ iPromiseImGoodForIt and you'll get a special surprise in the mail.

I've bought whiskey online several times, but usually it's through an auction. Only once have I purchased a bottle from an online vendor. I think it was Reserve Bar.

Some of those lucky Europeans can get whisky through Amazon.

Cracking one from the premium cabinet tonight.

Full credit to @Hook78 for the...well, the hook78up on this. He was kind enough to help me acquire through an avenue not available to me personally.

Master's Keep is Wild Turkey's (mostly) annual premium release. One was their 2021 release, which is a blend of 10ish and 14ish year old bourbons selected by Eddie and Jimmy Russell respectively. The final blend was then finished in toasted oak barrels and bottled at 101 proof.

    Rickhouse G, batch 0001.

I don't do excessive reviews, I will just say this: It is excellent and well worth your time if it can be found near msrp.

Holy shot you opened it? I’m not opening mine until the day I retire.

    Or maybe next week, whatever.

    Good to hear it’s delish!

    So how was it?

I dont really give a rats ass about the latest "fad", just gimme a good drink that my friends dont think I am trying to show off with. Too much of this shit these days is all about the exclusivity of the bottle.

I'm an IW Harper 15 proponent. A bit pricey at $90/bottle SRP, but very smooth, shows it's age well, and with a unique flavor profile compared to most of the major names.
