I always wanted to make this:

But I think I would redesign it to hold it on 2 axis vs 1.

Currently saving up old chain for a different project though, need like 2 more chains to make what's in my head.

That sounds like a very good deal, particularly in today's market!

Service log/maintenance records (or lack thereof) are a good indicator of how well the bike was cared for. At that age and low mileage, I'd be concerned with brittle/cracked hoses and tires, as well as stale fluids, but if it starts right up and drives good? I think you are getting a bargain, even if there are a few things that need to be done...

    Right on, thanks!

It's an old buddy that used to teach at the local track so I want to say it was/is kept up pretty well. The price is what has me interested. I wasn't planning on buying something until next year..

And now he's throwing in brand new gloves as well... I think I have too! :bananadead:

I found the same year bike for the same price that had been sat down once with a little damage and also has 6x+ the amount of miles. :D

Shweeet! If you haven't done track days yet, I highly recommend 'em! Especially if you know a track vet!

What are the groups thoughts on the CB750 Hornet now that it's been officially unveiled? I kind of love it  Also dig that they are keeping the cb750 name going (even though its a twin instead of an i4). I'll be intrigued to see what pricing ends up being.

Well, the old lady gave me the thumbs up last night so I'll probably have a new bike by week's end :D

Funny thing is, I also have a coworker/friend who is currently an instructor at one of our local tacks, Buttonwillow, who said he'll coach me up if I get the bike.

Oh, man! Expect to see some sweet pics when you go! And having a personal coach? That's a dream right there!

Definitely like it but kinda seems like it's a case of "another AR" syndrome, i.e. might be good but... why? Seems a little late to the party and, because Honda, a little expensive. Still, I'm interested if only to see how it compares when it gets tested against similar bikes.

i like most of it besides the headlight... but i kinda agree with the other that its a bit late to the game so its odd to see one show up but who knows it might be a hit

Hell, everything has been. I gave up looking for anything a little while back. Candy assess would say they have something to get you in the door, then turn around and say, I have to order/wait list the thing.

So you’re saying you might need a riding buddy who also has zero track experience for this pending track day?
