    No, you can see the mouth of the gutter. It empties directly onto the roof...

    I’m not a fan of dumping water directly on to a roof, but there probably won’t be a lot of water come of that small roof. That portion of the roof is unnecessary. It looks good, but serves no real purpose.

    @RustyGreen

    I really like classic ranchers like this one, though if I had this exact one built, I would have to expand the master bedroom rearward to accommodate a larger bathroom and a walk-in closet...

    That wouldn’t be bad.
    I’d make it all brick and get ride of that glass room.

    I like the way you think, though not necessarily red brick. White-painted brick would be striking...

    Here is the floor plan for this house, which based on the general layout and lack of even one walk-in closet in the master bedroom, I believe to be from the 1960s. A lot of the plans on eplans.com are obviously older...

    I don’t know about FT or PT - I don’t work for a specific store, I’m a corporate manager and run a team of outside sales representatives covering all of Philly, Delaware, and Baltimore.
    Absolutely love HD, been working for the company for 23 1/2 years.
    Started mixing paint as an hourly associate and now run a sales team responsible for over $100M in annual revenue.

    Are they flexible when it comes to work-life balance? I lied about having found a new job when I put in my two weeks at the detail shop back in June 2019. The reason I left is because they were running me into the ground and paying me per vehicle rather than per hour. On top of that, they had me working every single Saturday and most holidays, and I got burnt out. The fact that the detail shop wasn't air-conditioned did not help in the slightest.

    Yeah, but 2-bedroom single-family homes are harder to sell, and it wouldn't be hard to expand backward and built a modern master suite.

    I figure, if you are going to build a house.
    Build it how YOU want it. And build it to live in forever.
    Once you’re dead, you won’t have to worry about who buys it.

    No way, would I ever build a house and let “future owners” keep me from having what I want.

    I want to get married and have kids, so a 2-bedroom house wouldn't be a good idea unless it's a not a forever home...

    Well, I guess you might want to get married first.
    Having kids is a mutual thing. You probably want to know how many you are going to have before you build.
