Is the size of the region you manage why your Taco has so many miles on it?

Style goes out of style. Most people are looking for something fresh and different from what they see around town, something their friends will "Oohh & Aahh" over.

Houses are tools, very expensive tools - to do a fairly simple job

If you prioritize function over style you can get a better house for less money, better in the sense that it is more reliable, less money in that it costs less to build, operate, maintain and repair.

Sticking with roofs for example: an unobstructed steep roof line is far less likely to leak because you don't have the wall joints, valleys and all the flashing and sealing that comes with them. A steep roof is also much less prone to ice dams and the leaks they cause.

When the roof does need to be replaced the job is easier - less time, less labor, less materials and less precision work to go wrong.

Plumbing is the same way, many plans have fixtures all over the house. On the front side you pay for all those feet of plumbing. Day to day if you need to run 50 feet of water out of the pipe before you get hot water every day that costs extra money and is bad for the environment too. If the fixtures are not located on exterior walls there is a much reduced chance of them ever freezing.

Most folks, especially those who didn't spend their lives in maintenance positions ;), never think of things like this. However, if one is spending money doesn't it make sense to spend it wisely??

Pass, why do you think they want to use your truck - because then they don't have to pay for fuel, repairs and insurance. All machines wear out, the more you use them the faster it happens.
Talk to your insurance agent about using your vehicle for commercial uses. :spending:

I already decided against this after talking to my parents. There's something sketchy about the whole thing...

There are 3 of the same ads on Monster.com in my area.
Evidently, they need help here too?

Hardly. It stays parked most of the time now. I daily drive my FRS - that just turned 100K on the Odometer a month or so ago.

Well if I were to rise to your position, I'd be able to buy something newer and more comfortable, and give my Tacoma a break. However, I feel like mine is hardly broken in at less than 158K miles...

Has yours overheated yet? My thermostat got stuck closed and my truck overheated in a Wawa parking lot about ten miles from home a little over two weeks ago...

So, it's easy to get time off at Home Depot for car shows and family gatherings?
