Just got this 2019 Tacoma a few days ago. Loved the caramel interior look on the test drive. A week later I’m starting to not be a fan of it. Looking for all black, but not exactly sure where to start to fix the interior. Any suggestions?

Carnel interior is pretty rare, I've never seen it in person. Mine came with red

Try going to a few upholstery shop, might be able to rewrap it unless you want to redone the whole panel. I recommend they have a warranty and see the material before they do the work,.dealing with a bad employee error and the owner now having to redo it and see how it turn out

    Oh look, another mod....

Step 1) Make sure your full coverage insurance is up to date.
Step 2) Park your truck over night in a bad neighborhood.
Step 3) "Accidently" leave the keys nearby, you know, to make it easy for the thief.
Step 4) Call your insurance company and act surprised when you report your truck with the ugly-ass interior stolen.
Step 5) Buy a new truck and think it through before doing stuff like this ever again.

    -You're welcome.

OK, here ya go! I HATED the interior of my Tacoma when I bought it. i hated it before I bought it, but I thought I would get used to it. NOPE! So I went to my local automotive upholsterer and after I bought my own material, I had him install it. WHOA! It was SO MUCH BETTER! I had already installed custom seat covers to bright it up so with the interior completely done, well, it is a whole lot better than it was. Here is a video I made to show how I did it, along with before and after pics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ATAJZfua-4

I didn't know there was another interior colour option until I saw some picture on here. Every truck I have seen had the black interior. I really need to see some pictures of this 'Carmel' colour to believe it!

This is not my vehicle shown in the picture **** But it’s the same thing identical as this being shown. I just didn’t want to get up and take pictures lol. But it’s definitely a good addition to the truck. I just have decided I’m going with an all blacked out style and I’m in search of something. I live in SC. Let’s find a way to work something out!

How much did it run you for the upholstery person to fix it? Out of curiosity.

So 5 pieces total... all easily swapped out. Go check out a wrecking yard. I bet you could find everything you need for cheap enough...

I paid just under $200 for the faux leather [vinyl] and I paid the guy $1400 to install it. I am in CA, so the price might be lower somewhere else. This guy has been doing this for over 30 years, and is basically a local legend. Just walking into his shop is like walking into an art museum, when you see the various vehicles in there he is working on, and the insanely great job he does!
