I was originally going to go with Hewitt Tech to delete my Secondary Air Injection crap, since I paid for it in 2017 and I was out of the 10year warranty extension by 4 months this time around, I'm not spending money on it again for it to break in 5 years. Thankfully someone mentioned the HP tuner on the thread I was reading and got curious.
So far I know I need 4 credits which is $200, a MPVI3 module for $400, VCM suite and some block off plates. Does this seem correct?

What is the most efficient and cost effective way to increase my idle speed? My power steering pump wants 950 rpm. These tuners look like they would work, but that is a bit expensive for just increasing the idle rpm.

The most cost efficient way would be to have someone use their existing hardware/software to make the update to your ecu, saving you the cost of the hardware for such a simple change.

That makes sense. I am kinda remote in Hawaii, so that would involve mailing my ECU or buying a second ECU?

My understanding is that most tuners can stop the CEL from coming on by removing the code but the system won't be able to complete and show ready.
This is where our Gen2 bypass kits are a better solution. They emulate the system so the ECM thinks the system is still there and running like it is supposed to.
No messing around in the ECM and it will actually let the monitor run and show complete even if you were to take the air pumps off and toss them in the trash.

Hey John! I’d be happy to help get you dialed. I work with @JustDSM and @Boltripper out of Denver for 2GT SC tunes. The easiest way to book is through my website at www.coloradotoyotatuning.com but if you have any questions etc shoot me a pm. Cheers!
