ok. it was not noisy for about a year.. then it was. I had it balanced.. still with the noise. now I can distinctly hear the noise and feel the vibe back in my two piece shaft. its not the shaft or the lift or the angles.

Maybe try rotating your tires to see if that makes any change in where you hear or feel the issue, I have seen some strange noises caused by tires

For what is worth, I installed the Tom Wood one piece driveshaft and took it off the same day. It was pretty loud and obnoxious pass 45-50 mph.

It doesn't seem like that's your issue since you said it was fine for about a year. But the noise you described was pretty much on point what I experienced.

Maybe the u-joints are shot since you now have the issue with the two piece shaft too?

    Subbed for further discussion. :)

I recall some transmission discussions a while back during the twin turbo development. My recollection is that OV was pretty bullish on the strength of this transmission.

    For what it’s worth.

I’d pull the rear shaft and take it for a drive and see if the noise is still present.

He means replace the TW shaft with OEM. Same thing I suggested a while back

I think he does actually mean pull the rear drive shaft all together. Put in 4hi and take it for a drive. If the noise/vibration is still there then it's not from the rear.

I fear discussion of this has gotten way off topic. I only raised it here to get opinions about whether Toyota would void transmission warranty with the SC. I apologize for letting it go this long. If I need to, ill make another thread.

It’s literally one guy, who bought his truck used, then had it installed, with no prior history of the vehicle from a Ford dealership.
    Im not worried at all.

yea there are a ton of Tacomas running around with superchargers on them. one thing that might be a good idea is to add a transmission temp gauge and also should change the fluid more offer as the added heat from the haveing more power will shorten the life of the fluid.

yeah I have a BT OBD2 port thing that talks to the phone that I run when towing.. It has never gotten above normal operating temps: 85C. 185F I have done a few big pulls to see what shell do though. I know thats a strain. just did two exchanges of ATF for the first time @ 48K miles. it was a bit brown. but not burned or black. that made me feel much better. I appreciate the words of calm. I get worked up by reading shit like in that thread. guys were total douches. for all intents and purposes told the OP *you were stupid to have put such a death machine on your truck to begin with, fuck you* Idk about you guys but I come to tacomalworld for the love and support.

Those guys in that thread remind me of an ex girl friend that would argue just to argue. Dude youre good, enjoy your taco, keep up with the services and you’ll have a solid rig for many hundreds of thousands of miles. Of you were to get any old American V8 it would be trash in less than 100k.
Ill bet not one of those guys opening their mouths even knows someone with a SC, but they’ll flame the shit out of it not knowing a damn thing

To be clear I'm not trying to get you worked up man. I just linked that thread since it was an example of a guy with an SC and transmission trouble who Toyota told to get lost. That was your original question IIRC
