Damn that sucks! With the exception of that, mistakes happen, seems like the dual case is working out pretty well? I’ve been following along in the crawler thread. It absolutely SUCKS trying to crawl with the stock MT. Just not low enough.

Hard pass on DEPO on this truck. Their tails are garbage as well. I've had decent luck with DEPO on other vehicles but avoid them on the Taco.

and price for OEM isn't that much more ~ at least for taillights I think it was $30-40 more for OEM

Been busy af with a hardware failure @ work so haven't got to post this up on in this thread yet, but made some smol progress this weekend.

Washed the truck | Swapped in custom MGM painted MESO 4x4 and Start button surrounds | Felt taped more stuff to help with rattles.

Before and after with my stock dechromed & painted surrounds vs the painted MESO surrounds. The MESO pieces have a lot more style, I don't know why I didn't paint them before. Same paint & process in the before and after pics, I think the lighting was just different, so they appear lighter in the photos. Look great in the truck though <3

Also since the truck needs to go to Toyota for some warranty work soon, thought it would be a good idea to put the K&N sticker on the airbox finally.

I had on the stock tires, Firestone Destination LE2's, which are absolutely worthless in the snow. I go back to the Firestones for summer, that's about all they are good for. Does that answer your ??

What’s the difference between the mt and at mats?
I’ve only seen the mt and have never done the comparison. Is it just less area because of the clutch pedal? Or is there a different shape going on as far as topography of the mat itself?

AT’s have a foot rest where the clutch would be.

Like a dead pedal? The mt has rest as well. Is the mts just not as big? Would a cut and snip suffice? Or a little heat?

Getting my alcan aal added, i needed 400 more lbs of capacity. 1 leaf for each pack.

AND, my mechanic sent me this. Its good to have a competent mechanic. The dealership did the last oil change, didnt put the cap back on.

How long has it been since your last oil change?

Had the dealership do the same thing to me but I was adding windshield washer fluid a day later and noticed it so I got lucky.

It’s a lot bigger in the AT. Could modify it I guess but I don’t want to drop $200 on it just to cut it.

I did this in my old 4Runner, I’ll just do the same to the Tacoma. It’ll be a lot easier, only half the space to do in the Tacoma!
