I passed along my pictures and documentation for the transformers to the boss, he forwarded the ones that are leaking to the power company. They said that any that have PCBs MUST be removed within 24 hours.

And they can't get replacements for 8 months, so that sounds like fun.

Especially since one of the buildings on the list is the one we're in.

Have you had to clean poop out of them? It would definitely suck to have them both run some over!

You really haven't fully passed said milestone until you have multiples:
At the chair, kitchen, bathroom, car, garage... :annoyed:

I have them set to run when I'm at home to avoid that exact scenario.

Although the bulldog we had did throw up on one of them.

Taking a page from Toyota and utilizing the Poka-Yoke method on this high quantity repeat job. Since we are getting more into production runs, I have been trying to be thorough, take my time on setup sheets, program info, fixturing, etc for these types of jobs to rule out as much of the variable error as possible. I have Op1 in a ER40 collet vise with a machined stop inside to set the part at the correct height. I also wrote Probing routines to probe each part prior. Gets some thru's, angled blind holes that intersect with opposing blind holes, +/-.0005 on a couple sizes and locations. Op2 is timed and Poka-Yoke is used to make sure the part can ONLY be loaded in one orientation. I use a pin in the back jaw along with a spud machined in the back jaw. The relation of the 2 features allows for the part to only be loaded in this orientation. Probing routine for this Op as well. Gets another 1.96" deep blind hole that intersects with the one from Op1. Hoping to remove as much human error as I can if and when this gets passed off to someone later. Still learning, but pretty happy with it. Ordered a couple nice Thru-Coolant carbide drills from Walter Titex to help speed up those deeps holes too.
