I have ome hd right now with an extra leaf. The leafs will be upgraded eventually. So I wouldn’t need to worry about the straps until then?

no the spring pack only allows for just under 12 i think. I have the OME with 2 add a leafs and my shocks are speced at 12.1 inches of travel. Never bottomed them out once.

how far from the spring perch or inboard side of the axle should I mount the bottom eyelet for a king 2.5x12 the directions suggest anywhere from 1.5 to 2 inches

What’s the best Archive shock tower and shock combo? Are mods needed to make said shock fit or does it just bolt in?

I see 2 different options for the relocate tower

is it needed to do shackle flip and bumps upgrade at that point?

currently running 5160 on stock frame and while there is some travel all the pics of Relocate Tower looks way better…

current leafpack is Icon RXT op3; not sure if it’s worth changing to 63 Chevy
Weight on the back is 200lb shell + any gear that may come sometimes

You might be fine with our Trail 2.0 tower and some tuned Fox 2.0 resi shocks. Please see our other thread and discuss that over there if you are interested in that one.

We recommend Hammer Hangers, not a shackle flip

I'll be installing my shock relocation in September, gathering information for now, can someone link me to a good thread for setting proper lower shock mount position?

I've heard it said it's best to remove the main leaf from the pack and use that as it's more flexibile then but not sure how that would differ from just letting the axle bottom out without shocks on it and setting the bottom shock mount just rotated up on the axle slightly higher so that the shock itself isn't acting as the limiting strap?

Is there a gauge, measurement, or rule of thumb for spacing the lower mount away from the rear brake backer plates or anything?

I know I should allow a little clearance off the frame for flex and what not right?

I Educated guessed. Pulled some measurements and welded. It's close. About 1/8" left of shock shaft at full bump. I got lucky

See Post #864. I followed that to a tee and it worked out perfectly. Ended up with 1/2" of bump travel left at full bump, and about the 1/2" of droop left when fully flexed. That's based on my setup of 13" ADS smoothies on Deaver U402 leaf springs and the Archive U bolt flip Option 3 (which uses the Archive bump stops). Pretty happy with the setup and it's been great out on the trails.

14” 2.5 Fox DSC with a Chevy 63” leaf pack with archive garage shock relocation kit, still haven’t installed limit straps or bumps stops so it’s not at full droop. At ride height I have 7” of up travel and 7” of droop.

Thanks bro! My goal was to be to able to eat speed bumps without the bed of the truck bucking up.
Thanks to @EatSleepTacos i just referenced post #864 and plugged in my measurements.

I added fox air bumps. Had superbumps and they would send my ass end to the moon. The air bumps make some noise but completely solved the pogo feel of the rearScreenshot_20220206-170153_Photos.jpg

FYI, install time is usually about 8 hours, if that helps

It will certainly vary, and maybe @WormSquirts can provide insight as a shop owner who has installed these, but I would estimate $800-$1000. I’m just a shade-tree garage fabricator and charge $500.

Home garage can usually knock it out in 3-4 hours. That's leaving the rear shock mount that's not in the way of anything. Saves a hour or 2 leaving that.
