I don’t work in retail anymore. Haven’t in 15+ years.
But it’s my understanding you can’t ask?
I believe only the TSA can ask for those credentials?
    I may be wrong?

I don’t really mind. As long as your dog doesn’t jump on me or bite me.

Don’t mind dogs. I just don’t agree with taking a pet into public.

Probably something with the ADA. Or fear of getting sued for asking.

I’m ok with outside at a park or car show, as long as the dog is leashed. I’m not a monster!

The 3rd Movie I mention earlier that is missing Michael Myers, still has a cameo appearance from Jamie Lee Curtis as the voice of a telephone operator.

Harley dealership where I worked for several years was real agreeable with allowing people to bring their pets into the shop. They used to do pet photos with Santa Clause for Christmas using a Harley with a sidecar set up for the pictures.

My parts manager at the time had a tree fall into his house and tear up a bunch of stuff forcing them to live in their camper for a period of time, several weeks, as I recall. He was a big dude, 6' 8" give or take and had one of the largest Great Danes I ever saw. Staying in a camper all day while his owner was at work was causing a lot of stress on the dog. Not enough room to really move around, more outside noises than in the house, etc. Andre used to bring the dog to work once in a while until the owners told him that the dog is to be at work whenever he is at work until the house is repaired and life can return to normal. Shop owners actually bought the dog his own bed and food bowls for in the shop office and would take the dog out for bathroom breaks as needed.

Forget about COVID; I really don't like going out sometimes because people are unpredictable assholes.

There was the guy in grocery store parking lot back in March, who to be fair I believe was a veteran suffering from PTSD, who flipped the fuck out at me because I was running to my truck that was parked caddy-corner to his Porsche and he thought I was running up to ambush him or some shit. In truth, I wasn't paying attention to him and wouldn't have even noticed him had he not flipped out.

Just about everybody who follows me closely on TW knows about the drunk asshole who came up to my window at the Carlisle Truck Nationals in August 2021, went on a racist rant, and called me a "fucking commie" for driving a Toyota with an American flag license plate on the front.

Let's not forget about the numerous people I encountered while doing DoorDash who somehow got it into their heads that they are entitled to special treatment.

Then, earlier this year, there was an older woman in a Honda Fit who I'm pretty was following me and videotaping me with her cell phone. I had some magnets on my tailgate at the time that some people wouldn't agree with, but I don't really give a shit. You don't just follow perfect strangers around filming them.

When I came to the conclusion that she was in face filming me, I got into the right lane and gave her a classic "WTF?" look as she passed me in the left lane. She put her phone down and barely looked at me as she drove past.

Then, there was the little old lady who flipped me off right around 9/11 last year, for flying a trailer hitch mounted American flag on my truck.

COVID has really changed people for the worst.

I'm guessing that it's indigenous to Ohio and Western PA?

And then what do you make of ordinary people turning into unpredictable assholes?

My first encounter with a "Karen" took place in like 2006-2007 before the term was in vogue. I was working at CVS and I'm pretty sure I wasn't even 18 yet. I was stocking shelves, and this Russian lady came up to me and started bitching at me in Russian. I don't speak Russian, and the fact that I couldn't understand her pissed her off even more. Russians tend to sound pissed off even when they're just trying to have a normal conversation, and my friend Olga who is from Russia freely admits to this, so I was terrified of this woman since she was actually posed. Thankfully, the store manager had my back and came to my aid. I don't know how he addressed the situation, but I was glad that I didn't have to...

No, it's an awesome store though, they are kind of a variety store geared around the home and farm.
