Do you think its totaled?

Hi! Do you guys think it will be total loss? I only had it for 3 months and last friday i got rear ended by a commercial semi truck on the freeway car in front of me was slowing down and i did aswell and next thing i know i was hit.
Im ok, i went to the chiro the same day because i was scared. Currently waiting on my insurance to get back to me.

Totally totalled. It looks just like my 2018 that was rearended and totalled a year ago by a guy going 30 mph while I was stopped at a traffic light. Strip off any add-ons that you put on or in the truck.

I’ve rebuilt a number of salvage auction cars, including the mustang in my profile pic. That’s guaranteed totalled.

Take care of yourself and keep on top of the medical side. If you even remotely think you are injured (and hopefully you are not) seek some professional advice and don't talk to their insurance or us yoyos on the net, until you do.

 

On the bright side YOU aren't totaled. Still what a waste of a beautiful machine - and now the total b.s. of insurance claims etc.

A commercial semi should have a competent driver behind the wheel. I would have demanded a drug test against whoever was driving
and the driver's past driving history ( speeding tickets / DUI ) etc would be interesting to know. You need to be wholly restored and
possibly compensated for the mental anguish of being put into this situation because the company did not do due diligence or ignored
possible issues with the person behind the wheel. Was that person texting at the time?.... speeding?.... have a drink under his belt?....

Otherwise glad you are ok - these Tacoma's are built to take care of the occupants -
