I read an article the other day talking about Yamaha bringing out a Tenere 300. If that happens, I'd probably grab one. The small bikes are perfect for my uses at this point. They mentioned using the drivetrain from the MT-03/R3. At 40HP+, that'd be perfect.

For sure. I'll post up here whenever I'm ready to take a track day. I've only ridden dirt bike, for a short period of time, so I need to put some hours and miles on the new bike first. :)

    Nice!

Man, I had some fun on my 50 when I was younger. Now, I hurt daily because of it. I tore my first ACL riding my 50 on a BMX track. The track wasn't a well maintained track and on the run up to a maybe 20', high speed triple, there was a rain rut where the dirt had been washed away a bit. I hit the rut, got some head shake, because of the 10" wheels, which shot me off to the right going up the face of the jump. I flat landed beside the actual landing and my right leg slipped off the pegged and when it impacted the ground it proceeded to destroy my knee. I used to work and Honda/Yamaha of Troy when it was around and a handful of us had 50's or 110's there and would all go ride them after work. It was a good time.

Some specs on my 50 that I remember from 18 years ago: King Racing extended chromoly frame, extended fork tubes with HD springs, some brand of aftermarket adjustable shock, 88cc kit paired with a XR100 carb, BBR exhaust, BBR skid plate, BBR handlebar kit, tall seat, then I had a set of wheels for dirt and another for pavement.

The center stand is great! My FJR is the first bike I've had that has one; I love having it.

Buy it. Have it shipped to a friends address. Install it when the wife is not home. Park bike pipe side to the wall until it’s gathered enough dust and oxidized enough that she doesn’t notice it’s brand new. I’m just trying to help man, but I’m running out of ideas. Lol!

I know this will be completely useless as an everyday rider, but if Honda actually produces the CB125X........I'll want one. It'd be the perfect camp trailer bike and would even do well on my 5 mile ride to work

I may have already posted this, but I got to looking into the Tenere 300 and then went down this rabbit hole

Dang that is nice looking! If only they made the transalp look like that.

Or better yet throw a 450 in it.

No doubt. Honda did register it with the European Patent Office. If it gets built and is close to the price of a CRF125, I'll more than likely get one just to take camping. It'd give me the ability to ride on an actual road if I need/want to, yet still be able to sling it around in the woods.

Yep, the Grom was supposed to be that bike for me but it sucks offroad. Absolute blast for on road so I am keeping it.

I'd love a grom too :D I just want a "camp" bike. My little 300 Rally could easily serve that purpose, but at 330lbs+ it's a little chubby. I'd like to get down to dirt bike weight just for the fun factor :D

The CB125X shares the same drivetrain and frame from the CB125R.....so it shouldn't be too hard to produce it.

Me too. I'd imagine that if they do produce it, it won't make it to NA. I don't know how well it would sell with the American mentality of "bigger is better". I would definitely pick one up if it were in the range of the CRF125, Grom, Trail, etc
