Yeah. I made that mistake, lol. In hindsight, I should be the one doing that.

When I had my 2nd gen, I tapped into the wiper fuse for my heated mirrors. No odd behavior from anything.

I accidentally left my ditch lights on. Somehow. They had the black covers on there, I came out of work and saw they were still showing a bit through the black covers. WTF. Yeah, somehow they were on. Probably hit it somehow getting in or out.

Now everything is off the panel on keyed

This is the switch panel I have. Works mint. Cheap.

This should be fine since the power going to the switch panel is just for the controller. The actual power going to the lights is coming through the fuse block in the engine bay, so you don't have to worry about amperage spikes. Same with heated mirrors.

+1 for that switch panel. It's the one I'm doing now. Via your earlier recommendation

Really I can't belive I didn't do it sooner. Total rats nest and that was like 5 "things" coming thru. If you want auxiliary stuff something like this is a must to keep it clean and organized. Imo

Incidentally my aftermarket (lighted) switch that we installed at Mikes’s place used a constant batt fuse. But it (the switch) will shut off at the slightest power loss like engine start up. I thought that was neat. But it will remain on if you hit it on your way out or something. It’s my usb per port in the center console so I’m not too concerned.

Mine was just as bad... but in the engine bay. One zip tie breaking from wrapping a mile of cords around my engine

You can use the power lock one, that's what I tied into for my cams. There's a second one that will work but I forget.

Did anyone, seriously, have money on it coming out with a hammer, BUT bolted right back up, no issue? o_O because I sure as f*** didn't. Nobody expected that to go as smoothly as it did less than me.

I hadn't done an oil change since Nov 2021 :spy: (just hit about 10k miles though, so, give and take). Drain bolt came off slick, filter came out without a single swear word. Right away. o_O was tight, but not gorilla tight.

But, my dumb ass I'm 99% sure I left the tool on the filter housing last night and forgot to check this morning before I left for work. It's snug, so no concern of it flying off immediately, but I'll have to wrestle that out tonight.

ATF: 5.5k until 60k, so I THINK I'm going to weasel my way into next spring for that one, with fluid filming happening Sunday, that one can wait until the spring/when the skid is sorted. I have 2k miles to go this winter that I KNOW are happening, plus work/others (keeping in mind my wife has a hybrid for when we go to family stuff). I think shoving that to the right is fine. Considering Toyota tells me not to do it EVER, I think doing it at 60k or a hair over is fine.

Anyone have the ecgs bushing tool? Probably going to need to change out the needle bearing since I got the lift.

any idea how long I can ride on it?
