Here's another thing. My job at CVS was not one that I applied for myself. It was part of a program for students with special needs, ranging from Down Syndrome, mental retardation, and low-funcitioning autism all the way up to those like me who are borderline normal. I worked at CVS, but CVS did not pay me. The school district paid me. I saved up quite a good deal of money working at that job, but the program was flawed because it was geared more towards lower-functioning students. The teachers, job coaches, etc had no idea how to deal with high-funcitioning borderline normal students like me. My favorite job coach was this British woman named Mrs. Boothman who came to America in like 1986 and was citizen by the time I met her in about 2005. She was a genuine sweetheart who had my best interests at heart, so it should be no surprise that I actually requested her by name in 2006. The other job coach I sort of liked was a middle-aged blonde woman named Mrs. Carr.

The other two job coaches were jerks. Let me give you an example of the shit I dealt with...

One time, my job coach was running late and instead of getting right to work, I did what I thought I was supposed to do and waited for them to show up. I was bitched at for just sitting around and not getting right to work.

Not much time later, my job coach was late again, so I got right to work. I later bitched out for starting work without my job coach present...

    :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::luvya:

What the fuck do you want me to do then?!?! It's like encountering a detour sign on a road with more signs around it saying "No left turn", "no right turn", and "no backing up".

The bullshit I encountered being employed through my high school from 2006 to 2009 no doubt played a role in me not even attempting to seek employment myself for more than 4 years. I got a job at Dunkin Donuts in October 2013 and lasted maybe 3 weeks, largely because the hours sucked and the pay sucked even more. I quit without giving my two weeks. Not more than two days after leaving Dunkin Donuts, I got a call from the owner of a deli just a few steps away from Dunkin where I'd applied the same day I applied to Dunkin Donuts. I lasted like 3 or 4 hours because the owner turned out to be a weapons-grade dickhead.

In defense of the deli owner, I would later find out from his ex-wife that he was in the early stages of having a stroke and that's why he was such a jerk. What actually happened on that night in November 2013 is that I was tasked with washing dishes, and I was told that I couldn't leave until it was done. My coworkers kept piling dishes in front of me, and I basically freaked out and froze. The owner told me that it wasn't going to work out and told me to leave; I was actually happy to get fired! I never got paid for my three hours of work, but I didn't really give a shit.

I would not finally become gainfully employed until my friend Sam, who was the general manager of a bar/music venue called Puck that I frequented, offered me a job as her personal assistant and errand runner out of the blue. She initially paid me out of her own pocket, but it turned out to be a good fit, and I was officially put on the books as a barback within a year.

I would also like to point out that I was in college for the entire time I didn't have a job, so it's not like I was sitting on my ass the whole time. I was in college when I worked at Dunkin Donuts, and I almost failed an algebra class that I ended up dropping as a result of the shitty work schedule; I got the job at Puck like six months before I finally graduated.

This is the second time this has happened in less than a month. The last of my various violations on Facebook aged out over the summer, and I haven't reoffended since. However, my Facebook account has obviously drawn extra scrutiny and the powers that be are obviously trolling it looking for even the slightest offense.

Last month, I received notice that a meme I posted back in September 2019 went against the community standards on spam. The post was removed, I can no longer see the meme, and I can't get to the meme via Facebook because as stated above it violates their community standards on spam; I have no idea what the meme was about, but if it didn't get flagged until just overthree years after I posted it, then it couldn't have been that bad...

In the wee hours of the morning on October 5th, yet another post from more than three years ago was flagged and removed for violating the community standards on spam. This post is a link to an article about a former Marine who served in Iwo Jima during World War II, who at the time was celebrating his 100th birthday. This is clearly a bug with Facebook's algorithm...

Maybe it's because the article came from a suspicious website? Still doesn't make sense that it would get flagged over three months later though...

I spent a week in Facebook Jail this past February for making a comment that I would like to shoot geese (pretty much any bird, really) for pooping on my truck...

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
It's an automated system. It's likely that the website flagged it. I can't find that site.

Also Reason # 54875954954 not to have FB

I am finally starting to get pissed off; I was talked into joining a girl I went to high school who I had a crush on, back in 2008. Prior to 2020, everything I got flagged for involved copyright claims on music in my videos.

While visiting family in California back in 2017, I live-streamed a video of my uncle's VW Bus; I had my iPod plugged into the stereo and "Once Bitten Twice Shy" playing, and I was banned from posting videos for a day.

Thank you very much for finding this...

    :fistbump:

However, you will notice that the article is from July 2019, and the story was barely a month old when I posted it; I don't see much point in posting it now because it's over three years old, and I don't want to tempt fate by triggering FB's clearly defective automated system.

    Absolutely

I’ve told him at least 100 times.

Everyone should watch “the social dilemma” and decide if they want a bunch of social media.

Every time I've gotten a restriction on my account has been the result of Facebook's algorithm, not some butthurt snowflake.

My friend Dave ended up in Facebook Jail a couple years for saying "Wow. Women are savage." on some random viral video.

When I was moderating in this automotive group on FB that I'm still a member of, somebody calling someone else "Silly Goose" or "Young Grasshopper" would get their comment removed by Facebook because it was considered bullying and harassment.

Most recently, simply saying "Ouch" in a comment has supposedly been triggering a response from the FB police and getting the commenter's account restricted.

I like TW better than FB because it has human moderators who listen to reason and don't unfairly ban people for stupid shit. If someone gets banned from TW, they obviously deserved it.

    I don't think it's been 100 times...

    Maybe a couple dozen?!?! :D

My best friend John has deactivated his account, sworn he'd never come back, and then reactivates his account months or even weeks later so many times that I've lost count. This is because, among other things, he needs to communicate with members of the band he's in.

Mark Zuckerberg is seriously the world's most successful drug dealer, as he created something that almost everybody is addicted to.

We have the here in TN.
It’s like a tractor supply. Except they actually sell tractors. And Stihl equipment.

Their brake and carb cleaner is CHEAP.
I frequently stick up on it.
