Interior light coming on

Help… don’t know what goin on but it seems to me my interior lights come on randomly like it being triggered can anyone advise on how to fix it started 2 days ago lol

 

Not being snarky here, but the keyless fob turns on lights when you get close to the truck, maybe that’s it?

 

Is that another positive for owning a 6MT then?!

Yah I knoe that but that not it cause even If I am I’m in my room checking my camera at home it still comes on

oh that's not right get it to the dealer. Weren't you the one with some dealer added aftermarket wiring harness? Maybe has something to do with that. There is a reason many don't like entering the wiring harness unless they have to.

That’d be my first step, Toyota warranty most likely won’t cover anything aftermarket, even if dealer installed.

 

What would activate the mileage showing up on the dash

yes it does, I didn't change settings, but it might be a setting. My truck and many others with push button start will turn on interior lights when you walk up to the truck.

 

Opening the door does that. It also turns on the lights and gives me a door ajar message.

 

The thing is even when the door is closed it still go and off I might just have to disconnect my vleds and go from there

 

Hopefully Toyota can solve this pin point the source

 

Have you replaced any of the incandescent cabin lights, with an LED "equivalent"? However, sounds like potentially a flakey VLED module or harness. See if returning to "stock" makes the problem disappear.

 

That was my thought as well, but OP said he was going to yesterday

 

Yah I took out the harness it’s already disconnected so I may have to rule out the vleds
