Yeah I mean it’s rhythmic. Like it really feels like a wheel out of balance. Steering shaft is old which contributes to some sloppiness I’m sure but I think the shake is wheel/axle related

Mine is rhythmic too but I’ve tried getting balanced and aligned to no success. I’m replacing cvs to hopefully cure it

Hmmm is yours a vibe or a shake? Mines a shake like the wheels out of balance. If you have a pulsating vibe have you replaced your needle bearing? I have a pulsating vibe at 50 as well and I ordered the ecgs bushing to hopefully solve that particular problem

It’s a vibe, in the bad sense lol. I haven’t replaced my needle bearing I didn’t even think of that. It’s kinda weird because it’s sort of a hum too you can feel through the floor

Yeah that’s exactly what mine is. Vibration/hum once per second in the floor at 50. Might be worth looking into. There’s an ecgs bushing to replace the needle bearings with a stronger style bushing

That’s what mine does exactly. I looked into that replacement though and from what I gathered from others they said that’s not what I need

I’m hoping it’s what I need! If not, at least I’ve fixed a known weak point on a 119k mile 10 year old New England truck haha

I just remembered. I think the common test is to put it in 4wd high and see if the noise goes away (but obviously don’t try to turn in 4wd on dry pavement). Iirc if the noise goes away in 4 high it’s likely your needle bearing

You can use a zip tie to 'train' the cable to go a certain direction so it doesn't pinch. It worked for me and I left the zip tie on.
